Our allied health professionals work together under one coordinated care plan, so everyone supporting you is working towards the same goals. STA Community Nursing & NDIS Services gives you access to physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other allied health professionals across Melbourne.

Allied health professionals help you move, function and live well. Our allied health services include:

• Physiotherapy – movement, strength, balance and pain management.
• Occupational therapy – making everyday tasks and your home easier and safer.
• Podiatry – care for your feet and lower limbs.
• Dietetics – eating well for your health needs.
• Speech pathology – communication, and safe eating and drinking.
• Psychology – support for your emotional wellbeing.
• Social work – finding your way through services and support.

One coordinated care plan

Rather than managing separate providers, your allied health support is coordinated under one care plan, so everyone working with you is heading in the same direction. Our multidisciplinary team includes an experienced Social Worker — meet the team.

Allied health is one of four ways we support you, alongside nursing, home care and NDIS support.

Who can benefit

Allied health can help at many stages of life: recovering from an injury or surgery, managing a long-term health condition, living with disability, or staying well as you get older. Can allied health be funded through the NDIS?

For eligible participants, allied health supports can be funded through an NDIS plan when they are included in it. See our NDIS services or talk to us about your plan.

Can I see more than one professional?

Yes. Because your team works under one coordinated care plan, you can receive support from more than one allied health professional while everyone works towards the same goals.
