Hi, I'm Sushanti

Aged Care, Community Nursing, NDIS 10+ years experience

Sushanti is a Registered Nurse and proud co-founder of STA, where she provides clinical leadership and supports the management of community and NDIS services.

Their Story

She is dedicated to building a service that delivers safe, high-quality, and person-centred care while promoting best practice, continuous improvement, and compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards. With over 10 years of experience across a variety of healthcare settings, Sushanti has developed extensive knowledge in aged care, community nursing, and disability support. She combines her clinical expertise with a genuine passion for helping people live meaningful, independent lives.

Having worked with people from diverse cultural backgrounds throughout her career, Sushanti understands the importance of providing care that is respectful, inclusive, and culturally responsive. She values each person’s unique story and believes that understanding their culture, beliefs, and personal goals is essential to delivering the right support.

Sushanti believes that the best outcomes are achieved by working in partnership with participants and their families. She takes the time to listen carefully, understand what matters most to each individual, and involve them in every decision about their care. By exploring different options together, she helps participants make informed choices that reflect their preferences, strengths, and aspirations.

A passionate advocate for reablement, Sushanti focuses on supporting people to maintain and build their independence rather than doing things for them. She encourages participants to develop confidence in their abilities, celebrate their achievements, and reach their personal goals with the right level of support.

Their Philosophy

For Sushanti, nursing is more than a profession—it is about making a positive difference in people’s lives. She believes that trust is built through honesty, respect, and genuine human connection. Her vision is for every participant to feel welcomed, understood, and supported by a team that truly listens, values their choices, and walks alongside them every step of their journey.

Hi, I'm Almaz

Person-Centred Advocacy 21+ years experience

Every person has a story before they become a patient, a participant, or a consumer. That is the person Almaz wants to know first.

Their Story

Almaz is the co-founder of STA and an Enrolled Endorsed Nurse with over 21 years of experience across the healthcare sector. For Almaz, nursing has never been just about providing care. It is about building genuine connections and making a meaningful difference in the lives of the people she has the privilege to support. She believes that even the smallest positive change can have a lasting impact, and knowing she has helped someone move forward is what inspires and motivates her every day.

Before considering services or supports, Almaz takes the time to understand who a person is beyond their diagnosis or circumstances. She wants to know who they were before life changed, who they are today, what matters most to them, and what they hope for their future. Whether their priorities are family, faith, friendships, a beloved pet, remaining independent, or simply continuing to do the things they love, Almaz believes these are the things that should guide the support they receive.

A passionate advocate, Almaz believes every person deserves to understand their rights, have their voice heard, and actively participate in decisions about their own life. She is committed not only to advocating for people but also to giving them the knowledge and confidence to advocate for themselves. When a matter falls outside her professional scope, she works closely with the right professionals and services to ensure people continue to receive the guidance and support they deserve.

Their Philosophy

After many years working across the healthcare sector, Almaz realised her greatest fulfilment came from providing personalised support without losing sight of the individual behind the system. This inspired her to co-found STA—a service built on the belief that people should always come before processes, relationships should be built on trust, and every person deserves to be known before they are supported. Through STA, Almaz’s goal is simple: to ensure every person feels better supported, better informed, and more empowered than when she first met them. If she can make a meaningful difference in even one person’s life, she considers it both a privilege and an honour. After all, every person has a story, and Almaz believes understanding that story is the foundation of truly meaningful support.

Hi, I'm Ann

Holistic, Person-Centred Care

Driven by the passion to help people and address the day to day social challenges, Ann has established her career in Social work.

Their Story

At the core of her service is care, compassion, active listening and strength to support the individual in understanding their circumstances and their story.

Ann has been intensively working with First Nations people to address different needs including accessing support services, establishing routines for the family and engaging in cultural therapeutic ways to meet them where they are at. Not only has Ann been able to help each family identify their strengths but also help build confidence in maintaining a stable home environment. Working with families has built the experience to work with the children as well as the adults and past experience working in a nursing home facilitated an opportunity to work with the elderly.

Being calm, warm and a critical thinker has enabled Ann to easily establish good working relationships with the clients and set goals and achieve them. While working with a client, Ann is keen to actively listen to a person share their background, understand their cultural needs, tailor make support ensuring the dignity and the voice of the individual is heard. This has promoted her advocacy skills not only in accessing community supports but also in navigating the government services and local supports.

Their Philosophy
