Support at Home (SAH)
The Support at Home program helps older Australians access in-home aged care services, including personal care, nursing, and everyday support, funded through a government-assessed care budget. STA Community Nursing & NDIS Services works with Support at Home participants to deliver quality, person-centred care within their approved budget.
What Support at Home can cover
Support at Home began on 1 November 2025, replacing the Home Care Packages Program. Depending on your assessment and approved budget, services can include:
- personal care, such as help with showering, dressing and grooming
- nursing care at home
- cleaning and help around the house
- shopping assistance
- transport to appointments
- companionship and social activities
- respite care for the people who care for you
How to get started
- Ask for an aged care assessment through My Aged Care, which works out whether you can access Support at Home.
- Once you have your assessment outcome, choose a provider. That is where we come in.
- Call 1300 782 227 or start your journey online, and we will talk through what your budget can support.
- We build your personalised care plan and match you with a care team you feel comfortable with.

Costs and contributions
You may be asked to contribute towards the cost of some services, depending on the service and what you can afford. Services Australia may need details of your income and assets to work out your contribution. We can explain how this usually works, but the decisions are made by the government.

Yes. An aged care assessment through My Aged Care decides whether you are approved for Support at Home. You are welcome to call us while you wait.
Can I change providers later?
