Patient transport
Getting to an appointment should not add to the worry of being unwell or living with a disability. Our patient transport helps you travel to the appointments you need to attend, with a friendly support person alongside you.
What transport support can include
Depending on your needs and funding, transport support can include:
- getting to and from medical, specialist and allied health appointments
- trips to the pharmacy, pathology or hospital
- help getting in and out of the car and into the building
- a support person to keep you company on the way, and at the appointment if you would like
Plan the trip around you
When you book, tell us about any mobility aids you use, such as a walker or wheelchair, and anything else that would make the trip easier. We match you with support workers who suit you, so the person picking you up is not a stranger on the day.
Part of your wider support
Transport works alongside our aged care and disability care support, and it makes appointments with our nursing team or allied health professionals easier to keep. If the shops are the hard part, ask about shopping assistance too.
