Capacity Building

Capacity building supports help you build skills, confidence and independence, so you can take part in life on your own terms.

What capacity building can include

Depending on what is in your plan and what you want to achieve, supports can include:

  • developing everyday living skills, such as cooking, budgeting and getting around
  • building social and community participation
  • improving relationships and communication
  • working towards study or employment goals
  • strengthening decision-making, choice and control

Built around your goals

You decide what you want to work on, and we plan the steps with you. Progress is reviewed along the way so your supports keep pace with your goals.

Working with the rest of your supports

Capacity building often works alongside support coordination, therapeutic supports and everyday help through our home care services.
