Intellectual Disability
Our support workers help people with intellectual disability build skills, confidence, and independence, with a focus on genuine choice, dignity, and community participation.
How we can support you
Depending on your goals and your NDIS plan, support can include:
- learning everyday skills such as cooking, shopping and managing money
- making your own choices and being heard
- getting involved in community activities and groups
- building confidence in new situations
- explaining things in a clear way that is easy to understand
Choice, dignity and community
You decide what you want to learn and where you want to go. We support you to have a go, at your pace, and family and carers are welcome to be part of the conversation. See how capacity building works.
Working with your wider supports
Support for intellectual disability can also include community participation and support coordination, and we can involve allied health such as speech pathology where it helps.
